6 km of the GR34 long-distance
coast path, the narrow streets known as 'venelles', backstreets and nooks and crannies around the town: mix and match them to explore on foot or by bike and seek out hidden treasures, our maritime history, the old town houses

France's scallop capital,
Saint-Quay-Portrieux is home to a fleet of scallop dredgers. Here, you'll learn all about the scallop, or Coquille St-Jacques as it's known here, from hatching to eating.
From October to April you can watch the dredgers returning to port to land their catch before it goes to auction in the town. It's a fascinating form of fishing.
The scallop stock here is protected, making it the treasure of the Côtes d'Armor and the pride of the town.
